One of the most common forms of personal injury suffered in car accidents is whiplash; caused by the overstretching of tissues in the spine and neck. This mainly occurs by an abrupt impact causing the neck to be suddenly thrown backwards and forwards. Whiplash mostly occurs due to rear-end car collisions and can result in pain, discomfort, stiffness, headaches and muscle spasms in some cases.
Apart from whiplash, various other injuries sustained from car accidents include fractures, lacerations, head injuries and internal injuries. In addition to the physical trauma associated with such accidents, car crashes can lead to some degree of psychological damage as well.
